Phoenix Biography

Animal conservation is an area I’m dedicated to, and after completing my zoology BSc I decided to take that passion around the world working with sea turtles in Greece, creating a breeding programme for tarsiers in the Philippines, working in an indoor rainforest biome in Dubai and even assisting in managing a small zoo in the UK. Assisting in conserving what’s left of the world’s biodiversity is my passion and working with The Sloth Institute it’s hugely apparent how much humans impact wildlife on a daily basis. Being able to alleviate some of that impact is so important to the native species in Costa Rica.

Why I love sloths

I’ve worked with sloths over the years and I fell in love with them as they’ve taught me that patience really is a virtue and even the adorable animals can be fierce!
