Adopt-A-SlothConservationIn Training SlothsSloth Diaries
Minutes away from dying, Snow White a juvenile three-fingered sloth, was found on the ground next to a fallen tree and another dead sloth.
Luckily for Snow White she was rushed to us just in time and after many days of critical care, she pulled through!
While we are so happy to see Snow White recovering so well, the sad fact is that sloths, especially juvenile three-fingered sloths, are heavily affected by habitat loss, even small scale habitat loss (because they have such small home ranges when first weaned from mom).
Everywhere within their habitat range, trees are being lost daily. And losing trees = losing sloths.
