There are some new additions to The Sloth Institute family! Our sloths Cruella and Ariel both recently had babies.

This is Cruella’s first baby since we started tracking her and this is Flounder #3 for Ariel since we started tracking her. Both Cruella and Ariel live in areas enroached by humans, so data on how they manage to survive and raise babies in such an environment is crucial to understanding how we can improve co-existing with sloths in a world that is dominated by habitat destruction.
